7th Grade History Tutoring

COURSE DESCRIPTION

7th grade history focuses on world history from the fall of the Roman Empire through the Enlightenment. Students study the rise and fall of empires, the spread of major world religions, and the political, economic, and cultural changes that shaped the medieval and early modern eras. Topics include the Byzantine Empire, Islamic civilizations, medieval Europe, African kingdoms, the Renaissance, the Reformation, and the Scientific Revolution. Students analyze primary sources, maps, and historical documents to understand how ideas, trade, and technology spread across regions.

ASSESSMENTS

Assessments include map quizzes, document-based questions (DBQs), and research projects such as creating a Renaissance figure biography or designing a medieval trade route map. Feedback focuses on historical accuracy, clear organization, and the ability to connect events across time and place.
